Boston, MA – TILT Lacrosse announced today that it reached a sponsorship agreement with Ontario native, Dillon Ward. Ward, an All American at Bellarmine University, was named the 2013 ECAC Goalie of the Year and led Division I lacrosse with a .662 save percentage. Ward was selected 3 rd overall in the NLL Entry Draft and during his earlier years, won three championship titles with the Orangeville Northmen Junior A team in 2008, 2009 and 2012. Most recently, Ward won the 2014 FIL World Championships with the Canadian National team, and was named the tournament’s MVP. Ward is currently a member of the Colorado Mammoth (NLL).
CEO/Co-Founder Jake Hubert, who has bridged the connection between lacrosse and its unique lifestyle off the field, believes that this collaboration is an excellent match for the vision of TILT Lacrosse’s brand and overall voice. As emphasized in the mottos, “party vision” and “the coop life”, the vision for TILT Lacrosse is to celebrate life with as much passion that is dedicated towards the game itself, through its designer, high quality clothing and edgy marketing tactics.
“We are very excited to announce the addition of Dillon to the TILT PRO team”, says Hubert. “At such a young age, he has left a memorable mark in Junior A, NCAA and the world stage. He is an outstanding tender, and has gained well-deserved respect from the lacrosse community. Dillon’s talent and personality is a great fit for TILT and we are eager to grow together.”
TILT Lacrosse launched late this March. Its current products include tees, tanks and hats, and has plans of expanding to a complete head-to-toe offering. The company’s clothing directly reflects the zealous and social lifestyle of lacrosse, separating itself from the competition by approaching the market from a party life, young adult angle; creating a unique brand and experience for the customer.
“To be able to represent a company that reflects so much more than just the sport of lacrosse, is an exciting thing”, says Ward. “The TILT culture goes beyond their clothing, as they are developing a brand that truly resembles the day-to-day lifestyle of lacrosse athletes. I look forward to my involvement with TILT and know they will continue to make big moves in the future.”
